A CLE Seminar for Attorneys:
Changes to the Real Estate Settlement and
Procedures Act (RESPA) and their effects
on real estate closings

This course will detail the recent amendments to the Real Estate Settlement and
Procedures Act (RESPA), and their effects on real estate closings. It will also discuss
several important changes attorneys should make in their practices to best
adapt to these amendements. The course will further highlight updates to the
NYS banking laws and regulations affecting residential mortgages. It will address
the current lending environment, the latest trends and provide a special focus on
cooperative and condominium loans.

Daniel M. Shlufman, Esq. the President and General Counsel of FCMC Mortgage
Corp. On e of the co-founders of FCMC in 1995, Mr. Shlufman is in charge of operations
and all regulatory and legal matters. Mr. Shlufman graduated from New
York University School of Law with a J.D.degree in 1989, and was awarded the
American Jurisprudence Award in Professional Responsibility and Regulation of
Lawyers. He is a member of the faculty of the Practicing Law Institute as well as a
frequent lecturer for the NYSBA on mortgage related topics.
